Church

Inaugurated in 1973, the Mother Church Nossa Senhora Mãe dos Homens, is one of the largest churches in the state, was idealized by priest José Alberto Espíndola, whose remains are found inside the church. It was built thanks to donations from the community. 

Its architectural style is a mixture of the Gothic of the classic churches of the European middle ages with modern elements, it has four identical entrances to symbolize social equality and it also has a garden that resembles a labyrinth. The stained glass windows refer to sunrise and sunset, and in its central vault there is a crown reminiscent of Our Lady Mother of Men, the patron saint of the city.
